Important information for customers of our notified bodies

Since SMP's operations for certification and testing are being phased out, customers of our notified bodies need to begin the process of transferring relevant activities to a new one.
Due to the fact that the Machine Safety department within SMP Svensk Maskinprovning AB is being phased out, and consequently all activities related to certification and testing will cease, we advise you, as a customer of one or more of our notified bodies (Machinery Directive, Outdoor Noise Directive or PPE Regulation), to begin the process of transferring the relevant activities to a new notified body.
In accordance with current regulations, you will therefore need to contact a notified body that can provide equivalent services and with which you intend to cooperate.
Information about available notified bodies can be found on the European Commission’s website “NANDO”, (EUROPA – European Commission – Growth – Regulatory policy - SMCS Länk till annan webbplats, öppnas i nytt fönster.).
By March 1 at the latest we need to know which notified body you have chosen to work with and which products you intend to transfer to the new notified body.
