Efter noggrant övervägande har beslut fattats om att avveckla SMP:s verksamhet för certifiering och provning, till vardags benämnt Maskinsäkerhet. Detta omfattar arbetet i laboratoriet i Umeå, samt den provning, utbildning och certifiering som görs i Uppsala.

Vi förstår att beslutet kan väcka frågor för dig som är kund hos oss, men vill försäkra dig om att vi gör vårt yttersta för att pågående uppdrag ska fortlöpa så smidigt som möjligt. Du kommer naturligtvis att bli kontaktad av oss för en diskussion inom kort.

Påverkar inte besiktning

Beslutet påverkar inte SMP:s utbud för besiktning som är oförändrat. Våra ingenjörer är fortsatt tillgängliga för uppdrag över hela landet och erbjuder besiktningstjänster inom bland annat mobila maskiner, lyftobjekt, portar och tryckkärl.

Vår webbplats har ännu inte hunnit anpassas till beslutet och vårt förändrade tjänsteutbud men SMP tar från och med nu inte emot några nya uppdrag inom certifiering, miljökontroll, provning eller utbildning inom maskinsäkerhet.

SMP Discontinues Certification and Testing Services

SMP's operations for certification and testing are being phased out. Going forward, SMP will only accept assignments related to inspections.

After careful consideration, a decision has been made to discontinue SMP's activities in certification and testing, commonly referred to as Machine Safety. This includes work at the laboratory in Umeå, as well as the testing, training, and certification conducted in Uppsala.

For Customers of Machine Safety

We understand that this decision may raise questions for you as a customer, but we want to assure you that we are doing our utmost to ensure that ongoing assignments continue as smoothly as possible. You will, of course, be contacted by us for a discussion shortly.

No Impact on Inspections

The decision does not affect SMP's inspection services, which remain unchanged. Our engineers are still available for assignments throughout the country and offer inspection services for, among other things, mobile machines, lifting objects, doors, and pressure vessels.

Our website has not yet been updated to reflect this decision and our changed service offering, but as of now, SMP will not accept any new assignments in certification, environmental control, testing, or training within machine safety.
